RG-USG-005 UiPath Studio Version

Description

This rule checks if the current version of UiPath Studio is within two consecutive version of the current LTS version.

This rule is configurable allowing the current LTS version number to be defined, however, the default value is calculated from the current date to avoid having to be constantly updated.

Note: This calculation updates the LTS version on the 1st day of the month after UiPath’s LTS release cycles of April and October.

Impact

Not using a current UiPath Studio version could break the compatibility between dependencies, packages, and/or activities, thus rendering code unusable.

Mitigation

Upgrade to a current version of UiPath Studio.
